About your photos and our portraits

Please read carefully!

Since the quality of the finished portrait is directly relative to the quality of the reference material provided, the larger and clearer the images you submit (submission is done after you checkout through PayPal) will directly increase the overall quality of the finished art work you will receive. If the images are questionable, send in additional images with descriptive notes so that we can use them for additional reference material when we are creating your portrait.

Digital proof If the image quality is too poor, all is not lost. For an additional fee we are able to utilize other outside reference sources in combination with your existing images in order to produce a beautiful portrait done in the spirit and likeness of your animal.

Since I do not know your animal, all I have to go on is the reference material you send me. Please, do not be shy, send us additional photos with notes to help identify the details unique to your animal. The more reference material the merrier. We will return all of your reference materials along with your finished portrait.

Unless otherwise specified, all of our black and white fine art pencil renderings are done in top quality Artist Graphite Pencils on fine quality white Fine Art Paper. All of our full color fine art portraits are rendered with Rembrandt Artist Pastel© used in unison with Conte’ © Pastel Pencils on Mi Tientes © Pastel Papers. All of our finished portraits are suitable for matting and framing under glass in order to produce a beautiful fine art portrait that will last for decades.

Matting instructions with suggested inner and outer dimensions for custom matting are included along with each order.

Quotes are for single portraits (head and shoulders). Multiple images, optional backgrounds and poses are available for an additional charge.
